JOSEPHINE NOONE FOR MAYOR

COMMITTED TO OUR COMMUNITY
I am an experienced Councilwoman and 25-year resident of Washington Borough, elected to Council in November 2014 and reelected in November 2018 for a second term.
I am running for Mayor in November 2020. I bring my six years of experience on Council, my familiarity with the Borough as a long-term resident, my knowledge of the educational system, recreational programs, and Business Improvement District, and a real feel for the community and the people who live here. I also bring my financial management and leadership skills.
I will work with Borough Council to:
-
Aid in recovery from the COVID-19 shutdown by advocating for federal and state aid for the Borough of Washington;
-
Work alongside the WBID to support current businesses as we recover from the COVID-19 shutdown, restart stalled projects, and recruit new businesses;
-
Focus on the health and safety of our community in collaboration with the Warren County Health Department and the Washington EMS, Fire and Police Departments;
-
Advocate for mental health, addiction and recovery support services;
-
Maintain fiscal responsibility and pay down our debt while seeking grants and shared services agreements to save taxpayer dollars;
-
Promote the sale and redevelopment of vacant and abandoned properties;
-
Support our local schools to attract families to our community and increase property values.\
I look forward to continuing to serve the citizens of Washington Borough. Thank you for your support on November 3rd !
